Investigation of the Effect of Quercetin in Experimental Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury Model in Rat Testicle

In study, a special bioflavonoid and quercetin, antioxidant known protect against oxidative damage, were avoid experimentally caused damage rats.
 32 male Sprague Dawley rats, 12 weeks old, weighing 250–300 g, study.Rats randomized into 4 groups. No procedure was performed control group. 5-hour ischemia achived by applying testicle After 5 hours ischemia, 2-hour reperfusion applied torsion/detorsion+quercetin group, 2 after i.p. quercetin injected.
 A significant decrease observed quercetin-administered group terms spermatocyte degeneration inflamation. There dilatation data but it not statistically significant.
 Quercetin, which has strong effect, been shown have positive effects on induced damage.
